DA Awards – week 7 update

We are very happy with the seriousness the league’s teams are showing this season when it comes to bringing hurt and pain to the game. After all, it’s as integral a part of the game as moving the ball. We like to think that the DA Awards are, in modest ways, helping this development along. This week, 970tv was lost to the League. granted, same week last season cost the League 1210tv, but that was also the highest loss last season, and 970 is way above expectations, which are at 700tv a week. Keep up the good work!

We have 7 Medals to hand out this week. The first is a DA Gold Medal to Bish “the Bash” Bosh of the Knights. Bosh is a season 1 veteran and is only the Fifth active player to hold such a Medal. Bosh got the combined value of no less than three kills in the same game, something which never has happened before. He fell only 10k short of a Platinum Medal. Two DA Silver Medals goes to Broderick Bunkley of the Avalanche and Booker T of the Foxes, and two DA Bronze Medals to Jack Pardee of the Foxes and Laken Tomlinson of the Marauders. The final two Medals are both Von Kassel Medals; one in Gold for Xavier Cooper of the Legion and the other one in Bronze to Newton Brown of the Scimitars. The VK Gold Medal is only the second one to an active player. Thunder’s quarteback legend Andrew Luck holds the other one.

We also notice the passing away of former DA Bronze Medal holder Deijon Sanders of the Gunners, the wavering of VK Silver Medal holder Steve Williams of the Rangers and the passing away of VK Bronze medal holder D.J.Hayden of the Legion.
